Information on the expatriate sports clubs and associations in Singapore...
Because of the climate in Singapore, most sports are played all year round, although many take a break for the summer holidays (June-August).
Many sporting organisations will play on the fields of the old race course at The Grandstand. This is located just off Bukit Timah/Dunearn almost opposite 6th Avenue.
Sports Clubs
Many of the social clubs in Singapore have sports sections which organise inter-club games and tournaments as well as social events for their section members.
Some clubs allow sports memberships and junior sports memberships. Sports vary per club. Some of the sports on offer are: rugby, soccer, tennis, squash, diving, swimming, golf, netball, hockey and lawn bowling.
The Australia & New Zealand Association (ANZA) is open to all nationalities and organises many sports for children and adults.
Sports for Children
Children keen on soccer, rugby, cricket and baseball often have a choice of playing for their school or joining an organisation.
