Traditions in school

International schools do not have many traditions because of the diverse student population.

Singapore schools have a few, amongst which is the Singapore Pledge. It is recited every morning before school starts. The pledge goes as follows:

We, the citizens of Singapore,
pledge ourselves as one united people,
regardless of race, language or religion,
to build a democratic society
based on justice and equality
so as to achieve happiness, prosperity
and progress for our nation... as one united people,
