Really good new restaurant for lunch TOP of Tanglin Mall runbY a Belgium lady and a shop with some of the best home decor ideas I have seen for a while!

Last night we ate at La Forketta at Dempsey. We ordered wine and beers and of course food. No water was forthcoming, so eventually, asked for some tap water to which they said that they didn't serve, in fact refused to, they did point out that tap water was served in their other restaurant in River Valley Road. They would only serve bottled water at $9 a bottle ++. Has anyone else come across other restuarants in Singapore that refuses to serve you tap water despite spending a lot of money on wine and food!

Too bad, I just heard news that Santi -the Spanish restaurant in MBS is closing its operations this March.

I love ice cream and I love mooncakes and Haagen Dazs has given me the best of both worlds. I love all their flavors - mango, chocolate, green tea and vanilla. And my favorite is green tea.

The Singapore Coffee Festival opens to the public today. There were very good reviews this year from the media launch. It must be worth going to for coffee lovers. This year's venue is at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Really love the fever tree brand for Gin - huge in UK with many different Gins, so much nicer than any other tonic, not too sweet - anyone know where its sold in Singapore?

Just seen they have lots of fresh produce now - and some amazing prices - they discount the veg regularly - even found some sprouting broccolli last week and only around $3 and bout 6 English tomatoes for $3.30 - on offer. Lots of great salads too for office lunch!

Really unimpressed with the quality and prices of the newly opened food court at the basement of Tanglin Mall. Apart from the 2 Indian stalls (Same good quality same owners) the rest is owned by one owner who has employed main land Chinese to run all the different stalls. I tried the Vietnamese Poh Chicken, so bad I gave it back - told them to go to Shaw Center to learn how to make it!
